A Meaningful Investment

Becoming a Homes 4 Hope franchisee is a significant commitment of time, leadership, and capital. It is also an opportunity to build a sustainable business while creating real impact in your community. Below is a high-level overview of the financial expectations associated with franchising with Homes 4 Hope.

Initial Investment and Down Payment

Franchisees are required to make an initial investment using non-borrowed personal resources, which includes cash on-hand, securities, bonds, debentures, and business or real estate equity exclusive of your personal residence. This ensures financial stability, long-term sustainability, and alignment with the responsibilities of operating within the recovery housing sector. Investment requirements may vary based on location, property type, and whether the opportunity involves a new or existing facility.

Financing

Homes 4 Hope does not provide direct financing. Franchisees must be willing to invest a minimum of $250,000 of non-borrowed funds. They may choose to secure financing independently, subject to approval and compliance with franchise standards. Financial readiness is reviewed as part of the application process.

Ongoing Fees

Franchisees contribute ongoing fees that support the Homes 4 Hope brand, systems, training, and continued operational support. These fees are structured to ensure consistency, quality, and long-term success across all locations. 

Royalties: 6%-7% of monthly gross sales depending on if the franchise is a multiunit or single unit location.

Rent: A monthly base rent and/or percentage rent of monthly gross sales.

License Fee: A one time fee of $35,000 is paid for a 20 year term, unless a multi unit franchise agreement is executed in which the fee is $25,000 per location.

Real Estate Acquisition: If you purchase real estate you would have a monthly mortgage payment, which will vary depending on the location.
